Chance me

hi

i want to know if my chances are good enough to get me into schools with some scholarship money. i will be a senior....

Weighted GPA: 4.02
Unweighted GPA: 3.73
I play the piano and flute (and have gone to state competitions for them many times and received gold medals)
I play tennis (all four years) on varsity soph, junior, and will be senior year
I volunteered at my public library for the past 3 years (and will this summer)
I help out and teach at tennis camps for little kids during the summer for about a week (2 yrs)
I also go to a really hard school (for the last 2 years of high school)
SAT: 1750 (really need to get that up)

What i want to know is if i will get a lot of scholarship money or full tuition to go to a state university with my achivements. I really don't want to take out loans to pay for college... I know my SAT score is horrible and it needs to go up, so how do i do that? will be taking SAT in Oct. i really don't want to go to a small college. i want to go to colleges that are harder to get into, or a state university...like Wash U or Indiana University

If you get the sat up you should qualify for a semi ride. At least in Michigan. It might depend on the university.

retake the sat, break 1900

So, does anyone know exactly how to study for the SAT/ACT? What is the best way to go about it? It seems like the tests are too broad to study for and too short to feel comfortable knowing that you did a good job on the test…i have grubers, a McGraw Hill one, and the blue book, should that be enough? thanks!

There are very few free rides at colleges, and you must typically be way at the top of the class in every respect to get one at the colleges that do give them.

Most state schools publish guidelines to show what you can expect with your stats.

If your family is low income there is money you will get on a need basis.

If you can get recruited for tennis, that may be your best bet for a scholarship.

Sorry. but you won’t get into Wash U.
