Chance Me

Alright so I'm thinking of applying to gtown early action, here are my stats.

I'm biracial male(white/persian) with a 3.65/4(unweighted) GPA at a small prep school outside of Boston.

Test Scores:
33 ACT Composite
32 English
33 Math
32 Reading
35 Science

SAT II's 720 Bio, 750 World History and 620 Math II

National Ap Scholar with Distinction
AP Bio 5
AP US 5
AP World 5
Ap English Comp 4
Ap Calc AB 3

Extracurriculars

All Conference Basketball Player(good enough for d2/d3, not to get recruited to Gtown)

School Newspaper 2 years

Model UN 4 years

150 Hours Community Service teaching kids how to play sports

Last Summer worked in a bio-tech lab on a project about the toxins in red rice extract

This Sumer interned at a sports medicine practice

You have good scores except for math II, but your GPA is what will hurt you. Do you know what your rank is? If you fall in the top 5% or 10%, you will be fine. However, your scores are average for Gtown. Do you intend to go into medicine? You could use your EC's to play that up. Def apply EA, because even if you don't get in, you will be deferred.

I think my class rank is like 6th or 7th out of 80, I attend one of those private schools where it is almost impossible to recieve an A (most science/math classes 96percent is an A, and in English/History they basically only give out A-'s). Anyways, I do plan on going into medicine, and most likely majoring in biology.

In that case, you're fine. But again, you're on the border IMO. So apply EA, see what happens. I also think you can apply somewhere else EA(Boston College, UChicago, etc.) while applying EA to Gtown. This way you can open up your options. Just a thought. GL.

yea thats a good idea. Do you know if you can apply both early decision and early action?

No, if you apply early action to Georgetown, you cannot apply somewhere else early decision, but you can apply early action at other schools. (Look at Georgetown's website) Georgetown University- Office of Undergraduate Admissions
