Class Rank: 9/1350 (yes, biggest high school in the nation)
SAT: 1460 (plan to retake and get 1500+), 2110 (plan to retake and get 2200)
SAT II: Math IIc: 800, Chemistry, 760, and I plan on taking Bio soon which I'll probably get 750+ on.</p>

Psychology (4), English Language (4), Chemistry (4), Calc AB (5), Calc BC (5), Micro, Macro, Government, Environmental, Stats, Biology (My school is on block scheduling so I courseload like this is crazy at my school)</p>

Over 400 hours in service hours.
Camp counselor for Math and Science camp for two years
Animal Shelters, E.S.E. Student Helper, Eating Disorder Support Groups (these three are my main concentration)</p>

<p>Have conducted research (which plans to be published) in Ecology and Psychology fields. </p>

<p>For the past three years I have been giving speeches on deletirious eating disorders to over 5000 kids.</p>

<p>Very strong recommendation letters. My AP Calculus teacher is a collegeboard representative. =)</p>

<p>And will have a very strong essay dealing with my struggle with anorexia nervosa and the nutritional neuropothy in my legs.</p>

<p>So what do you say, do I have a chance??</p>

<p>A lot of your honor societies and lesser ECs look like fluff, so I wouldn't include them. The research and especially the public speaking stuff looks interesting. Definitely stress that in your app.</p>

<p>Your academics are solid. If you can get above a 2200, I'd say you have a great shot.</p>

<p>I agree with DarkStar. Being a member of these random societies means zilch, as you don't really do anything at all. In fact, it clouds up your ECs that are actually interesting. If you get your test scores to where you want them, I don't see why you wouldn't have a great shot (even as they are right now, they're not bad at all).</p>

<p>I agree with the above comments. I think you have a great chance. S was accepted to Duke and invited to visit free of charge. He loved it, unfortunately the expense was just a bit much for us.</p>
