<p>I don't usually "Chance" people but I noticed your stats are very similar to mine and I applied to the same schools plus a few more minus Georgetown. I'll show you how we compare, where i got in, and hopefully give you some peace of mind :]</p>

<p>Same: Val, SAT I, range of ECs w/ leadership apparent, classes outside HS
Diffferences: I had more Aps but your scores are higher, your SAT IIs are higher (I suggest you take AT LEAST a science SAT II, especially for MIT/Caltech), I had research work, higher UW GPA.</p>

<p>I got into HYPSM+Caltech so I think you have a good chance. You really never know though so make sure you have some matches and safeties. For your essay be careful not to make it a sob story. No offense to your hardship understand, just make sure to focus on what you learned in the process and how it has shaped you as a student, I had an essay I had to rewrite because it didn't focus on those aspects.</p>
