Chance me :|||||||

I'm out of state, African American

GPA : 3.4 W

SAT:1710 CR:560 M:650 WR:500 (will Retake)

AP: will have 4 by graduation

Good ecs; and great essay

Reach. They don't care about your EC's nor do they need an essay.
Retake the SAT and get it up to a 1900 and you'll have a shot because of your GPA.

all i know is that psu recalculates your gpa based on its unweighted value.
i agree with xcellerator, as long as you up your sat score, i think you'll be okay, if not you'll probably be accepted to a satellite campus.

They're most likely not going to recalculate 90,000 gpa's.

i'm just going by what i was told from "spend a summer day at penn state".

university of wisconsin-madison does the same thing, despite receiving 90,000 applications.

I think they just request that the schools send the UW gpa as well as the weighted gpa. Pickartist, unfortunately, I think penn state university park will be a reach. I am not positive about the SAT score, but the 25-75% gpa range is UW 3.5-3.9. GPA is 2/3 of the admission decision.
