<p>Because Bates is SAT/ACT optional, you can decide which test scores to submit. Your ACT score probably won’t help in admittance since it is on the lower side—you could choose just to send the SAT2s instead. Ask your guidance counselor. Your grades and activities look good for Bates.</p>

<p>I think they accepted around 29% of applicants last year. ED gives you an advantage. More importantly, Bates wants to accept students who will attend if accepted and will like it —it is all about fit. If Bates is a top choice, try to convey that in your “Why Bates” essay or apply ED.</p>
