<p>SAT - 610 CR, 670 Math, 660 Writing (I'm taking the October SAT this Saturday to improve)</p>
<p>Extracurricular - Band all four years, Astronomy club for two years, Mu Alpha Theta competitor one year.</p>
<p>Honors - NHS, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society</p>
<p>Community Service - March of Dimes (4 years), CF walk (2 years), bringing food and serving at St. Francis House, working as a junior counselor at a kid's camp for two years (8hrs/day)</p>
<p>Recognitions - top 10% all four years, 7 superior medals at the Solo and Ensemble District Festival and 3 superior medals at the State Solo and Ensemble Festival, Performing Arts award (junior year), spanish award (freshman year), placing 6th/7th chair in the All-county band, third chair clarinetist in my school's top band, serving as a section captain and woodwind colonel in the band.</p>
<p>Hi, great stats! Will you be playing in any of the UF bands? My son's friend auditioned for the UF band (not marching) and they wanted him very badly. His gpa was close to yours but his SATs were only 1100. He got in and is loving band. He started in the summer and is doing fantastic academically. Good Luck.</p>
<p>if you're in state, i would say you are an almost definite.. look at it this way for the SAT scores the others are complaining about. the new, raised min for honors college is 4.0 GPA WEIGHTED and a 2040 compsitie SAT - that's like getting a 680 on all sections.
youre a 3.97 UW and 4.5 weighted... (they calculate weighted a lil diff than schools tho) and 1940 SAT - only 100 less than honors college</p>
<p>so if your essays and other stuff aren't morbid, i'd say yes, you're pretty good...</p>
