Reflection[ul]
[li] Strengths: test scores? gpa?[/li][li] Weaknesses: um, recs? essays? who the hell knows?[/li][/ul]

Don't be afraid to be brutally honest. I appreciate all input!

Should a lot of people from Covina go to Berkeley? Your chances are the same as everyone else's: low and dependent on how you come across in your essays.

Do you have any math competitions or scientific research or something of that sort?
Why do you want to go to Caltech? Is it because you like math/science or because Caltech is in the tops of college rankings? If it's the first one, I'm not going to lie to you - it will be tough to get in, but you should try anyways and good luck to you with that. If it's the second, there are many other "top" schools that might be a bit easier on academics and offer more options to choose from.

well i know as a student i definitely dont stand out as a sci./math guy, but i've always considered majoring in either engineering or physics. If I have the opportunity to attend Caltech, I will definitely major in one of those two areas.

What is "Boy of the Month"?
By the way, I'm guessing your chances are about... 169/1000.
