Chance me

GPA: 3.75

Major: Psychology

Transfer Programs: TAP (UC Berkeley) and UC Berkeley's Starting Point Mentorship Program

Applied: UC Berkeley, LA, and Davis (TAG)

My essays are solid and my pre-reqs and IGETC are done

I have had a 4.0 for 3/4 semesters (including summer)

chances?

Your chances are so small, kind of like 1 over x when x is approaching infinity.

hey at least its something! thnx :)

Not as small as that other poster claims, but its going to be tough.

well, i guess this is a big reality check for me...i always thought that a 3.75 was a little low for psych but i thought it was at least competitive...i guess not

does the Cal TAP and SPMP not help that much either?

relax, man.
you're in.

"Your chances are so small, kind of like 1 over x when x is approaching infinity."

Haha. This forum needs LaTeX support.

ish718: hahaha funny comment

i think psych is impacted at berkeley? but anyway, it seems like you have a pretty good shot :)

Monkey these people are pulling your leg.

Assuming you completed your pre-reqs, wrote "acceptable" (essentially you used sentences) personal statements, and submitted your application in on time...

You're in.

To add my 2c FWIW (since there seem to be conflicting assesments), I concur with the others who have said that you have a great shot at getting in, even if psychology is impacted.

The combination of a 3.75 GPA (pretty good by itself) and TAP (which I read elsewhere on this forum, that a UC rep said is a roughly 0.2 boost to the GPA), puts you at right around 3.95-ish

Provided you write a decent essay (which I'm told is v. important, especially for Berkeley), I personally think you're in!
