chance me

ok, i kinda slacked off in 8th grade, making a couple B's and a C in Algebra. but towards the 2nd part of the school year i made all A's and even made 104 in English. In 9th grade im going to be in all pre-AP classes and try to make all A's. ive always made commended on the state tests and im a very good writer. i help out at the local food bank and will be in partnership PE, which deals with special needs kids. Havent taken an ssat test yet, put im spending an hour a day preping for it. I also will be applying for full aid, which i think will really hurt my chances. im very ambitious and hope to get into NYU's journalism program. Im not sure i can really compete with kids applying to the top schools, but im hoping for the best. i have different iterests than alot of kids at my school and dont quite "fit in", so im really interested in being around different people than what im used to.

schools im applying to:

exeter (really reaching for it, I know)
Andover
Hotchkiss
Deerfield
Northfield Mount Hermon School
Lawrenceville School

I believe that you are a very ambitious person and if you speak w/ your interviewer about your aspirations they will be very impressed, especially about the part that you don’t fit in with your peers because of your interests because that will show them that you really care about your education. As far as your grades go, improve them. Anyways good luck.
