If i want to transfer to northeastern, they have a 50% admit rate and the avg gpa transfer is 3.3 and they say 3.0 or better are most successful applicants. I would have a gpa around 2.95 by the time I apply from an equal caliber school, and mid-term grades would be all As (assuming). They look at college gpa mostly but my hs grades fit their avg student there. Thoughts? Would certain majors be harder to get in?

Hmm…I’m not quite sure to be honest, but I figure that they’d want students transferring who would be above the avg. That could just be a stupid assumption, but that’s what I would figure. If you’re applying for a major, Engineering would be probably a deathcall. That’s always very limited and you’d probably not get in. If you apply undecided or something a little bit less popular, you have a little bit better chance of getting in.

Please chance back :)

but if that’s avg then there must be people below the average to even it out. I just don’t know of anyone on here transferring to a decent school with under a 3.0 gpa. I guess going to an easy cc and getting 3.6 or 3.7 is the best route, and your hs stats aren’t even looked at.

…?
