:[ Chance me.

:x USC '14 hopeful.
SAT: 2050 [710M,650W,690CR]
SAT2: 690 US History, 790 MATH2C
I've taken 6 AP's so far, taking 4 more my Senior Year.
GPA: 3.3 UW, 3.7 W*

*:x Moved 8th grade/freshmen transition year, and again freshmen/sophmore transition year. Grades show a upward trend.

Still crappy but ;-;

EC:
-Completed Level 10 Piano Syllabus (Highest Level)
- City Orchestra, top group
-Kiwins Club: Project Manager; Volenteering Club
-REACH Club: Treasurer; Help to raise money for Children in Africa for school supplies
- Best Buddies Club: Member, we just spent like 1/2 days per week with disabled children and hang around with them.
- Science Olympiad Member
-AP Scholar with Honor
-Volunteer at the library and around our community ( 200+ hours)

Your GPA is a bit low. Work on improving your grades as upward trends do help. Try to emphasize your leadership positions.

Here is a link from a similar thread for the 2009 freshman statistics:

From what I’ve seen, I’d say your chances are borderline. If you are interested in music/band, you may want to call and/or do some specific research regardig USCs Thornton School of Music. Scour USCs website.

Never count yourself out if USC is a university you aspire to attend . Apply, give it your best shot. “Chancing Me” is just a guess … While USC may be a slight reach; indiviuals do get accepted by “reach” schools every year, and some are surprised to be denied at “safety” & “matches”…
