<p>What are my chances for getting into Rice University, and what other colleges seem reasonable for me with the following credentials:</p>

<p>4 on Statistics, English Language and Comp., and US History
Will be taking Biology, Chemistry, English Lit, Government and Politics, Marcoeconomics, and Calculus AB this year.</p>

<p>SAT top scores
Math- 760 Reading- 740 Writing- 720</p>

<p>ACT- 33</p>

<p>Top 3% (8 out of 350+) of competitve public high school</p>

<p>GPA- 104.5- my school doesn't do a 4.0 scale</p>

<p>National Merit Commended</p>

<p>EC:
Member of high school band
member of top band for 3 years
Section leader and Treasurer in Band
Member of Student Council and National honor Society
Member of a competitve dance team outside of school
Active member in church youth group
Lots of volunteer/mission work</p>

<p>you have good academic stats and you don’t have any URM hooks or ORM hurts. outside of that, none of your ECs really stand out except for maybe the volunteer work depending on how much you did and what it actually turned out to be. I’d say you have a good shot at Rice, and for other schools, where would you want to go, that’s the real question</p>
