I am trying to transfer to a 4-year university next Fall. I have about 12 credits from Loyola University Chicago and I'll have 48 credits from an Illinois community college at the end of this Spring semester. So a total of 60 credits.
I really want to get out of Illinois and go somewhere like California or DC. Any university is fine with me as long as it's not a commuter school, in the middle of nowhere, in the Southeast, Florida, or in a state with really cold climate. I'm really just trying to have a good time and get my degree.
My stats are as follows:
High school GPA and class rank: 4.60, Sixth out of 350 students
SAT scores: 710 math, 560 CR, 600 Writing
College GPA: 3.50
Lots of extracurriculars in high school and volunteering in college.
The colleges I am considering are:
1.Pepperdine University
2.Loyola Marymount
3.UC-santa cruz and santa barbara
4.George Washington University
5.American University

---I'm not sure about the UC's because I would be an out of state student thus the tuition would be super expensive. I'm really counting on the private schools because I'll get a good financial aid package from them. My EFC is less than $2000.
So anyways, what are my chances at those schools? I favor Pepperdine and LMU. And are there any other schools in California that you think I might like? I've looked into U. San Diego but they don't transfer online classes so I scratched that school off my list. I just hope I don't end up being stuck in Illinois...

Thanks for your time!
