<p>@OP: you are a good candidate. apply and hope for the best. i don’t think poverty will be a hook unless you can write a very affecting essay about it.</p>

<p>yeah that’s the problem… i had so many things happen in my life, kinda hard to write it all in an essay… still figuring that out.
