Chance me?

<p>Hi everyone,</p>

<p>I am applying to USAFA and I can’t sleep for thinking about it at the moment so I had to do something I know I should just focus on this year but sometimes I can’t help wondering…</p>

<p>So here are my…things:</p>

<p>I have a 4.19/4.5 weighted GPA, 3.71 UW…go to a good public school. We don’t rank but I know for sure I’m at least in the top 27 GPA-wise in my class of 200…they won’t tell me any more than that. I’ve taken all honors classes, and 4 APs total. SATs 730 math, 800 CR, 790 writing. </p>

<p>I’m a member of NHS. I’ve earned various other academic honors and awards.</p>

<p>I’ve played varsity ice hockey since freshman year, and I’m a captain this year. JV softball as a freshman, varsity since sophomore year, also a captain of that this year. I play both sports year round. I also hold a part-time job year round. </p>

<p>I have yet to take the CFA, but I took the CGA PFE and scored a 183…definitely my application’s weakness. A little late to improve now (I know that ain’t gonna cut it at USAFA and I’m not making any excuses for this low score) but will this hurt my chances a lot?</p>

<p>You’re good to go but I would get your CFA in as soon as possible - not getting your CFA in a timely fashion will hurt more than the actual score itself.</p>

<p>Gosox, are you a high school junior this year? If so, you have plenty of time to improve any weakness in your CFA score.</p>

<p>Have you contacted the hockey coach? </p>

<p>Besides honorary clubs, where are your EC’s? Just how part-time is your job? </p>

<p>I would put you in at 20.15% chance, unlike that goofball Eagle. :)</p>

Predicting the admission committee’s findings is very hit or miss.</p>

<p>Without seeing ALL the details (yours and everyone else’s) and having the WCS system results, we cannot make accurate predictions.</p>
