I probably should have just applied to UMD while I was a senior in high school because I had better grades, but i opted to go to cc to save money. I graduated with a 3.2 gpa, and a 1640 sat score. I was on the varsity crew team and football team, and played jv soccer as a freshman. I'm in my freshman year at a community college and ended up with a 2.67 for the fall semester but am doing much better now in the spring and expect to get a 3.5. Do I have a chance of getting in UMD? The other schools I applied for were George Mason, Towson, UMBC, and Umass Amherst. UMD is my #1.

Which CC are you in?

montgomery college

university of minnesota duluth?

sorry should have been more clear. University of Maryland College Park

Haha… I’m also at MC. I thought that you might be there.
Umm… They have this program with UMD that after however many credits you take you are guaranteed to transfer there.

Did you already apply? If not I would wait another semester and then apply.

yea i already applied, but if i dont get in taking another semester at mc would be an option.

Sounds like a good plan.
