<p>Your stats are good, but that’s only half the battle. I think it was a Harvard admissions officer (or maybe she was from MIT) who said that they look to make sure you are qualified. They make sure you get good grades (which I can’t define), a good SAT/ACT score (I also can’t define), courseload (mostly APs/IBs) and class rank. After that they take the qualified applicants (which is most of them) and they look for specific reason to admit them. They look for initiative, willingness to help others, excellence in a given field, etc. They don’t want to admit a class of 4.0 gpa, 2400 sat, valedictorians who do nothing but study all the time. You got the academic half, but you don’t appear to have the other half as much. The bottom line being do what you love and love what you do, and I’m sure you’ll get in somewhere that you will fit well. Also rock the essays because that’s important. Best of luck, but remember to get a couple few safety schools.</p>
