anything i should improve on ideally?
thanks!

don’t know what you mean by idealistically (ideally?), but otherwise you are right on target.

^^If the GPA is unweighted. Given that it is top 10%, it most likely is.

What do you mean when you say your school is “competitive”?
Your ECs seem kinda boring other than the Science Olympiad. Decent chances.

Top 5 or so kids ALWAYS end up going to Harvard/Princeton/Yale/MIT. So i just mean my GPA isnt inflated or anything.

I also play the piano, but i don’t participate in any formal competitions.
and i did orchestra for 2 years but quit my junior year.
I also participated in cross country for 2 years, but quit my junior year as well. i plan on participating in senior year.
should i add this to my resume?

*GPA
weighted: 4.5
unweighted: 3.75

I was exactly the same, and I put it on my application. I got in.

Awesome, I’ll do that. thanks for your input

doubt it my bro went there but he was smarter than you and went to a harder school.
Looking at who they accept you prob have to get your SAT’s up to like 2250.

^^It’s a shame there are such immature posts, but it is also inaccurate. Since Wash U’s 25% scores are around 2080 (they don’t actually report the writing score but it is safe to assume the 25% on that is around 700), clearly many students, probably more than half, don’t get 2250.

who said anything about wash u?
What are you talking about?
I was saying how looking at the resume nothing really stands out and i doubt that they get in unless they get a very high SAT. Rice is very affordable college and alot of people are trying to get in. Its also one of the best schools in the country

Sorry I transposed two posts. Actually for Rice the 25% is even lower, and they do post their writing. It is 1970, so more than 25% of the students at Rice have a lower SAT total than the OP. Their ACT 25-75% range is 30-34, so he is in even better shape if he submits that instead. Also if you looked at his other posts you would see he will have something like 13 AP courses after senior year, so very challenging schedule.

Yes, Rice is a very fine school that happens to also be less expensive than many of its peer schools. His chances are quite decent. It was the tone of your post that is so immature. “My brother is smarter and went to a harder school”? Please, surely you have to see how childish that sounds. That, plus you had no factual basis for the 2250 statement, as I clearly show.
