<p>I am rising senior and I am planning to apply to these schools with an aspiration of becoming a pediatric neurosurgeon:
Yale, Cornell, Brown, Duke, UVA, UPENN and possibly JH</p>

<p>My stats include:</p>

<p>1990 SAT's(I know... low.. but will be retaking in Oct.; have gotten 2200+ on practice tests so far)
Rank: Top 10percentile out of 700+ kids in my grade.
3.8~ UW GPA
4.24 Weighted GPA
700 Chem SAT II
720 Math IIC SAT II
will take one more SAT II
AP Scores: Chem 4, Lang 3, Calc AB 2(will be taking bc this year.. hopefully to attain new scores) Euro 2
Senior classes: Calc BC, APLIT, AP Bio(Lecture and Lab), AP Physics, Spanish 5, IT Database(weighted), and an online gov course.</p>

<p>EC's :
I have been doing Taekwondo for the past 3 years.. attained a black belt and have served as an Assistant Instructor(received 1st place medal for tournament)
Active member in all clubs
President of Chess Club
President of Medical Club
Have served 400+ hours community service
Member of NHS and Spanish NHS
Member of Academic Team(team qualified for Nationals, but team could not go due to school's financial issues)
MUN(won awards)
Worship Leader of Church handicapped volunteer ministry
Student Leadership in Youth Group
Member of American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras since 9th grade
Held a job for the past year during school year.
Served on a medical missions trip in the Gambia during this summer</p>

<p>My essays will probably be good along with my teacher recs
So... what do you think? if i just raised my SAT score a little...? a chance... at all?</p>

<p>Your GPA is good. Your Sat IIs are up to par. But your AP scores are not that great. Only submit any 4s and 5s. To be quite honest, Most of your ECs are useless. If you don’t have a sole interest in one particular one then its not worth it to be involved in all of them. Colleges want to see passionate people. By the look of your ECs it seems that you are just taking them so they look good on your app. No offense, that just what colleges might think. Things like Chess Club, Model UN, and Medical Club are pretty common btw, so if you aren’t involved with them heavily drop them and focus on others. Your chance are just about good as anyone elses if you raise your SAT.</p>

<p>SATlls of 700 and 720 are unfortunnately not up to par for ivies. I don’t see any of the ivies hapening here. Duke and JHU will be realistic reaches with a 2150 and some stronger lls.</p>

<p>You need to get your SAT score up there for some of the colleges you are looking at. After that everything looks good and i agree with AppleBeam about some of those clubs.</p>
