<p>Hi. I am from Kanpur. My stats are as follows :</p>

<p>Class 10th : 96.8 % missed 97% by just a mark. :P .Topped school , 3rd in city , 8th in state according to newspapers..
Class 11th : 81 %
Class 12th : 95.25 % topped school
Australian chemsitry quiz merit holder.
Times of India Student of the year
Got a special award from icse for getting 95+ in all subjects.Did 12th from isc btw.
National level player in girls basketball team for isc schools , also played state level in open championship , state level badminton player
Won 3 National level debates , 2 Group discussions and 1 extempore. Also won many state level and school level debates etc.
Community service over 400+ hours at local hospital , taught poor kids near my area , member of local environment club .
Worked at a restaurant , macdonalds , also at an english teaching centre.
Have got 2 of my articles published in times of india .
Participated in 3 national/international level fests at CMS lucknow. Won 2 accolades there. 1 special mention for creative writing and 3rd prize in group dance competition.
Won many group dance competitions at regional level and solo dance competition at school level.
Karate green belt holder , also played once for the school kho-kho team
Know how to play the casio , member of school orchestra . played in various school functions
Member of student council , was house vice captain , head of computer club ( which was founded by me )O , also head of school's eco club.
And ya SAT 1 score : 740 Maths , 730 CR , and 690 Writing. SAT 2: Maths level 2: 800 , Chemistry 800
Want to apply for aerospace / mechanical engineering at harvard , stanford , yale , going early for cornell .
Also does Illinois Institute give a lot of aid to internationals ???</p>

<p>looks like u have done well and i m sure u have reasons to be optimistic about ur chances. stay that way and see what happens next march/april. </p>

<p>@bluestar…Well yea thats what i am really worried about. I have participated in 2-3 science fairs etc but none at top level and also our school held national science olympiad only when i was in 6th and 8th grade .! year I got 353 rank and the next time 117 rank . But they are not really great ranks and i was a kid …Our school hardly did anything to help us in studies or anything man !! that was the hard part. :frowning:
But just hoping to get through somewhere .Also should I retake the SAT . I fell the score is a bit on the low side no ??</p>

<p>Anyway, now that I’ve calmed down a bit. Your scores are fine. However for Harvard, Yale, and Stanford, you need to show some passion. You’re probably okay for Cornell.</p>
