Great essays: I talk about how I'm multicultural, lived in 6 different countries throughout my life.
Great Recommendations: I chose teachers I know very well, and know that they like me.

Universities:

-Cornell
-Johns Hopkins
-UT Austin
-Texas A&M
-University of Houston
-Rice

Cornell- reach
John Hopkins- reach
Rice- reach

the rest seem good

the reason i said they were reaches is because of your sat and gpa BUT a good teacher recommendation could overturn that :)

can you chance me? thanks!

No, a good rec can not ‘overturn’ sub par scores. Where do you kids come up with these things?

My #1 choice is UT Austin, what are my chances? I’m not in the top 8… but they’ve capped the top 8 at 70-75%, so the 30-25% remaining will be admitted outside the top 8.
