Your credentials are impressive, but Emory admissions is extremely competitive. Due primarily to your GPA (Emory’s middle 50 percent of admitted students is 3.74–3.99), I would rate Emory as a reach. That being said, complex factors that I don’t understand and can’t take into account, such as the rigor of your school and curriculum, will affect how the admissions office reads your transcript. If a 3.5 is really good at your school (i.e. your school doesn’t have much grade inflation), that would help you.

My recommendation is to work very hard this semester and get really good semester grades, and to demonstrate a lot of interest to Emory.

Best of luck!
