93 people viewed this thread… is nobody replying because theyre too nice to say that I have no chance?

Poor kid…No replies!
Not as many people reply to “chance” threads on the JHU page as they do at many other CC college pages. Dont let it get to you. Your background and experience seems interesting, and your IB diploma and the toughness of your HS cannot hurt. Your ACT score is interesting in that you did so much better in English than you did in the other topics. (you might want to look into, or be aware that this could indicate a learning disability: A big gap between your ability to grasp language over math would be considered as a bona-fide learning disability, even if you are above average in both…something to look back on in your grades and think about or discuss with your councellor).

So you have a decent shot, your life and EC’s are certainly interesting and assuming you have great letters of rec, you have a shot. I think!

(Keep in mind, Chance threads are pretty meaningless! Only the admissions staff will know for sure, and they wont know until a few weeks before you do)

Chances don’t seem great. Your ACT and GPA are both below average. Nonetheless your work experience seems interesting so maybe you have a shot. It’s really hard to say.
