I’m not an expert, but I don’t think your GPA or SAT scores are high enough for OOS students. I’ve got a 4.5ish GPA (weighted, 3.6-3.7ish, I haven’t seen my official transcript since August and I forgot) with a 1830 SAT, and I still doubt I’ll be accepted. With similar stats for an OOS student, it seems unlikely.

I too think its rather unlikely, based off your SAT and GPA. If you were instate, you’d likely be accepted. It all depends on your essay now.

Don’t forget that he is an URM.

UNC rejects a lot of OOS folks who were accepted at Harvard. Yes, it is tough with the stats. On the other hand, if you are movie star or basketball star, or your father is the president of a country, that might be different.

Sorry, I don’t think you’ll get in with your stats. Your scores are quite low for oos, and your ECs don’t appear to be too impressive, either.

Even as URM it would surprise me if you got in …

I hear this often, but … really?

you may have a chance of being waitlisted.
