Whoops. I forgot to include my school list!

MIT
Carnegie Mellon
Cornell
Harvard
Princeton
Duke
Northwestern
Johns Hopkins

Reach- Harvard, Princeton, MIT Mid Reach- Cornell, Duke Match-Northwestern, Johns Hopkins Safe- Carnegie Mellon can you chance me

I would consider adding some less competitive schools unless you have backups and just want to US reaches. Unfortunately all of these would be reaches with current stats. Among the schools CMU seems the most likely.

2college2college, my backups are in Australia so yes, US are for my reaches! I also plan to retake the SATs this weekend, 2000 is low.

2college2college, any suggestions for less competitive schools for my stats?

Airplane, thanks for chancing me! Here’s what I promised.

Looking at your profile, I’d say you’re a competitive intl. candidate and you’re in HK, which means we probably live like… 30 miles away from each other :stuck_out_tongue: (I’m in SZ) Being an intl. applicant is tough, so I’ll chance you on a more rigorous scale.

I’m not sure what your GPA is like on a 4.0 scale, your 2000 is a bit low for your schools, but your ECs stand out, albeit not too focused. I’ll assume your straight A’s equate to 4.0 and your school doesn’t rank.

MIT - high reach
Carnegie Mellon - match/high match
Cornell - low reach
Harvard - high reach
Princeton - high reach
Duke - reach
Northwestern - reach
Johns Hopkins - high match/low reach (my ED school!)

Get your SAT up to 2150 and you’ll have a much better shot!

hey, which school are you in?? im in shenzhen too!

haha, your sat scores and gpa range are a lot like mine, but you’re an international student, so i’ll say
MIT - high reach
Carnegie Mellon - match
Cornell - high reach
Harvard - high reach
Princeton - high reach
Duke - high match
Northwestern - low reach
Johns Hopkins -high match

Everything is good, but SAT :frowning: .
Increase at least 150-200 points.

hi airplane…

In my opinion you should crack SAT again.
thankyou for chancing me.

sorry I dont know much about US universities.

Please could U tell me how all the people posted that you are in high reach of some universities than others.

sorry but thank you

I can’t completely be sure about this since I can’t tell what your GPA is. You really need to raise your SATs as they are not competitive for an international at the moment. Your ECs however are top-notch.

MIT- high reach
Carnegie Mellon-high match
Cornell-mid reach
Harvard-high reach
Princeton-high reach
Duke-low reach
Northwestern-high match
Johns Hopkins-low reach (depends on major)
