Chance me?

3.3 GPA unweighted, but my school doesn’t weight. (also, this is my GPA as of the end of Junior year)

Grades for 1st quarter senior year:
English: A
Psychology: A
Radio Production: A
Advanced Photography: A
AP Spanish: B
History: B
AP Calc BC: C (I’m really afraid this grade is going to get me deferred)

580 Math, 580 Critical Reading, 720 Writing on my SAT, and I’m not submitting ACTs unless they’re better when I get my results next week because I bombed it last time.

Classes:
AP calc AB and BC, and two years of honors math.
AP Spanish, and three years of honors spanish.
Taking the AP English exam 2 years in a row (no honors/ AP English class offered)
General science track (science is my weak point)
General history track (no honors/AP offered)

Extracurriculars:
Swim team
Varsity lacrosse player
Volunteering at local hospital for 4 years
Establishing dance program at Boys and Girls club
Volunteer soccer coach
Lifeguard

Clubs:
Environmental Concerns and Awareness
Students In Cultural Awareness
Student Ambassadors

Other:
First generation, Middle-Eastern-American, fluent in Arabic.

I’m graduating from one of the hardest private schools in the state, does this compensate for my crappy GPA? Do I stand a chance of getting in? I’m applying to CAS for Political Science, but I’m planning to add Journalism as a double major as soon as I get in, and I made that really clear in my application because they don’t let you double major upon applying.

Please please PLEASE chance me? Thanks

i’m a prospective student applying to BU as well, but i’d say you have a very good chance of getting in, regardless of your GPA (especially since it’s unweighted, anyway). you’re also first generation, and most schools LOVE that. i wouldn’t worry too much.

Math and Critical reading are really low and BU doesn’t look at Writing.

I know many people who have a higher rigor schedule who have a similar GPA, so I don’t know how well you’ll fare against them.

Maybe 50% chance?
