I will be applying to Concord, Middlesex, Choate, Exeter, Andover, and Milton. I may add some schools that have are safe for me.

My current grades as listed below

Composition: 99% A
Algebra: 87% B
US History: 91% A
Biology: 82% B <( I switched to this class at the end of the quarter, so I had to get used to the higher level.)
Environmental Science: 97% A
French: 95% A

My teachers are writing up very good recommendations for me, as they say I'm one of the top in their classes.

I am the Student Of The Month for September and October.
I am also the Treasurer of the Student Council in our grade.
I wrestle, play baseball, and I plan on playing tennis and running track, as I'm very quick.
I also play the guitar and the drums, but not for the school, just by myself at home. I am in the Science Club as well.

If anybody has any advice for me, then please feel free. The schools that I am applying to are very competitive, but I will take the chance.

You look like a good candidate. All you have to do is make yourself the top choice of the admission office. Find something special about yourself that make them ‘have to get you’. I’m also applying for Choate, and maybe andover. Althought the schools are very competitive, but I’m gonna take the chance too :). I’m sure you’ll get into one of the schools in your list. GOOD LUCK!

What type of school are you coming from? I wouldn’t be worried, but maybe do some community service. You have a good chance of getting into those schools.

My school is just an average public school, but we are known more for our athletics than our academics.
I’ll try to get into some kind of community service. Does it have to be with the school? Can it just be voluntary in your neighborhood? I have wanted to do community service, but I just now have the chance to do so.

RGrabigel-
There’s not much point in cramming in community service at this point. Schools will see right through any last-minute efforts to beef up your resume. Instead, think about what will make you stand out of the crowd. What about you will an admissions officer remember? I don’t mean that you should get gimmicky, just that you should think about what you care about and how you can communicate this in your application.

I was pondering that same thing, and I know that you’re right.

I am a very determined person, and I will show this in my interview if I have a chance to do so. I think my special skills are that I am a fast runner, I am the best in my grade at composition, and I always get comments from adults that I have great manners, high maturity, and a good charm. I am an all around healthy person. I am physically fit, I have a high intelligence, and I have good social skills when it comes to talking to people that I don’t know.

Has anybody ever gone to one of these interviews? I know that they will ask me general questions about myself so they can try and get to know me, but do they anything else besides that?

Here are some typical questions that you may see on your interviews.

What is your favorite subject/class in school?
What do you do for fun?
What books are you currently reading?
What activities did you do over the summer?
What made you decide to apply to (insert school name here)?
What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
What do you feel you would contribute to the school community at (insert school name)?
What do you like to do outside of school?
How would your teachers/friends describe you?
If you could go back in time and speak to any historical figure, who would it be and what would you say?
What other schools are you considering applying to?
Do you have any questions? (Make sure you have at least one question, it shows interest!)

I am also white, if that matters, and I notice that not many people on here have wrestled. I don’t know if that would give me an edge, but I think it would personally.
