<p>Hi! I’m about to become a senior in high school and college application time is slowly but surely approaching so I was wondering if you guys can help me get a sense of my current predicament concerning acceptance of davis</p>
<p>Some background information: I’m an Asian Male born in China, spent 8 years in China, 3 in Canada, and 6 years in the United States so I can speak English, Chinese, and French. </p>
<p>My Stats and I regretfully has slacked off tremendously so my GPA is horrible
GPA: Unweighted: 3.16
Weighted: 3.67
SAT I: 2200
SATIIs: Math II C: 750
Biology 700
Chemistry: 630 (blah horrible i know)
Literature: 620 (same here)</p>
<p>APs: 5 in AP English Language
4 in AP Calculus
3 in AP Biology
2 in AP Chemistry (Once again i know! its horrible )
ECs: Tennis Team (9, 11, 12) Captain senior Year
Badminton Team, Math Team, National Honors Society, School Newspaper Staff, Prom Committee(Dance Committee), Freshmen Orientation Staff, French Club, French Honors Society, Hospital Staff/Volunteer (City of Hope Oncology Department), Coaches kids tennis.</p>

I was admitted to UCD, UCSD, UCSC, UCSB for Fall 2009 with worse grades than you. I only had a 1900 SAT and 3.375 Weighted.
Hope that cheers you up haha! Make sure you write a really good personal statement! It would give the admission committee more of a reason to look into your application

I say you have a pretty good chance since your sats 1 are really good, but you never know they were really random at selecting applicants this year…but make sure you don’t slack off at all this year bring your gpa up…and make sure your personal statement is really good…take about something original and a struggle if u had one since your gpa is kinda low…mayb you can talk about why ur grades went down…try talking about what you can bring to davis and try to stand out from all the other applicants
work on your personal statement now since its summer because you might be busy once school starts and have people read over it and keep revising it…don’t do your personal statement last minute

<p>lol yahh for suree ummm i started my personal statements at the end of second semester cause my ap english teacher told us to so i m sure my p.s. will be excellent and uhh i want to major in agricultural engineering and i do have community service. 50+ hours working at city of hope hospital (number one in america in its cancer department) and 100+ hours teaching tennis! thanks for all the feedback</p>
<p>try to fit in more comm service because u get alot more points if u have 200 hours or more.</p>
