What are the chances of getting into Rutgers new brunswick?

I believe Rutgers is a pretty competitive college. I know a lot of people who go there. 3.1 UW is kind of low. I would say that 3.4+UW is better. You also haven’t given any EC (orchestra and sports is good only if you’ve excelled highly in those areas all though high school) volunteering, or leadership qualities which are all important. 1790 SAT is a little average as well. And being Asian kind of makes applying even more difficult. Above all I would say you have a decent shot.

Best of Luck

I don’t think you have too great of a chance with your current stats. You should really focus on getting your GPA up. Your SAT is about average, so that’s fine, but are those the only EC’s you have? And are you a rising senior?

I’ve also interned at a real estate/Hotel company

I would say your chances are decent. If you are a Junior or a rising Senior you still have time to boost your GPA. Your Leadership position as captain is good and being great at playing music and making regionals helps your chances. Still apply to Rutgers you have a shot.

Are you taking all AP/Honors classes?
