Chance meeeeeeeeeeeeeee

So I know I practically have no chance, but let me know what ya think!

ACT:
34 English
31 Math
30 Reading
26 Science
11/12 Essay
(one sitting)

SAT:
1970

GPA (UW): 3.69

I have some really good extracurriculars. I am a classical pianist who has done a bunch of traveling for it. My essays were also really solid–I chose the one to create my own question and talked about how literature has changed me. I also got a supplementary recommendation from a highly acclaimed pianist. Is it possible they’ll see something unique in me?

It’s possible, but your GPA and standardized test scores are a bit below average. If anything’ll get you in, it’ll be the style of your essays.

Since I started my college search its been quite apparent to me that there is no way to tell if you’ll get into Brown or not. You seem to have an interesting outside activity which will definitley appeal to Brown, but the grades aren’t as great (believe me I know I’m in the same boat :frowning: ). Best of luck I hope you get in!

Your a shoe in the grades don’t carry that much weight don’t worry about it.

^This is why “Chance Me” threads are next to worthless. ACT 30, GPA 3.69 and mccruz says you’re a “shoe in” because “the grades don’t carry that much weight”.

ummmmmm… maybe not.

BTW: mccruz it’s “shoo in” not “shoe in”

Well, if you’re over-the-toply committed to your extra curricular–which happens to be quite unique and the recommendation is really as good as you said, you have a better chance of getting in.

However, because the GPA and the other scores are a bit lower, there is basically no way to tell.

Good luck anyhow.
