my sat went up 140 points for math and reading combined!

major: business administration

gpa: 3.86 (according to csu mentor calculator)

sat: 1300 (680 math, 620 reading) total sat: 1960

i took an intro to business class at a community college, and im in the AVID program at my school. Cal States really only look at the numbers right? i have solid extracurricular activities and like 100 service hours if that matters…

They also look at the rigor of your course load. Did you take AP classes?
Good job on your new SAT score. Your GPA looks good, but that is a popular major.
Best of luck. (I hope someone who knows more about your major and scores will chance you.)

course rigor is one of my weak spots im afraid. sophomore year i took all regular classes. junior year one honors, and then the community college class. this year though im taking 2 ap’s, will get one A and one B in them most likely. haha im a late bloomer and it took me until junior year to really buckle down when it came to school

I would definitely not worry about rigor as a business major. I have a friend who got into mechanical engineering with a 4.1 weighted, 28 ACT, but only 2 AP class and all regular.

Your SAT score is pretty decent.
