Schedule: Most rigorous. Will have taken 3 years of Bio and Chem, Multi-variable calc, and Spanish 4.
Rank: Right around the top 5%.
High School: Very competitive high school, known for its IB program. Sent 8 to Duke last year. </p>

Nothing special. </p>

<p>4 Mission Trips for Katrina Reconstruction...
~250 hours in total. Worked in conjunction with Presbyterian Church and Habitat. Built houses from ground up... so much fun. My activity essay is on this. </p>

~120 hours. From beginning of Junior Year to present. </p>

<p>Church Reconstruction
~130 hours. Worked as a volunteer constructing a new sanctuary for my church, most of the summer. </p>

~Didn't receive any transcript... I just sat in, did all the work, took tests at my father's institution (He's a professor). Who knows, maybe it'll show commitment to education although it isn't worth anything... haha. </p>

<p>Duke does give some scholarships… you may have a chance though it is difficult.</p>

<p>Yes, the Robertson scholarship. Considering I don’t see “Nobel prize” amywhere in the list of my awards… doesn’t seem likely, haha. I just want to see if I can get into Duke :)</p>

<p>It mich also be difficult to get scholarships from Case, because you need a decent amount. Case is 40000/year, private and you’re out of state. But I’m just another high school student so it’s very likely that I don’t know what I’m talking about. In any case, good luck with the admission process. You have awesome stats and ECs and I’m sure you’ll be fine :)</p>

<p>you would definately get big scholarships to UMiami and Richmond. I am looking to get a scholarship at those schools and only have a 1350/2130 and 3.75gpa. At Miami you could probably get a full tuition scholarship or at least 24k.</p>

<p>That’s great! I can probably scrounge up about 5,000 more dollars or so myself off of independent scholarships… my parents can chip in around 5,000-10,000 at most. The rest has to be covered by tuition.</p>
