Thanks - I guess I should have added California resident. White female. This apparently matters too.

I'm more optimistic than sak:

Santa Clara, 'Nova, U-Dub, and Boulder are all safeties. UCs are low matches.

Northwestern is a match with good essays.

what's your d's SAT score breakdown?

Your D also needs 2 or 3 SAT 2 scores to apply to Yale and some of the other schools

^ not for Yale cos she has the ACT.

Her SAT breakdown is 770M 700W 630V
Her SAT subjects all over 700 and she have 4 Math II spanish, Chem & Bio
Also

I agree with bluebayou that Santa Clara, Villanova, Washington, and Colorado are safeties. (And based on my son's experience last year, SCU will also give your D quite a bit of merit aid with those stats.)

I think Northwestern and Georgetown are both slight reach/matches, but your D's chances are probably better at Georgetown.

I'd say your daughter is a candidate at every school you've listed... she has the stats and resume, so it's really in the hands of the admissions officers. That being said, here is how I would rate her chances...

Georgetown University... SEMI-REACH.
Boston College... GOOD FIT.
Northwestern University... SEMI-REACH.
Yale University... REACH.
Villanova University... LIKELY.
Santa Clara University... SAFETY.
University of California - Berkeley... GOOD FIT.
University of California - Los Angeles... LIKELY.
University of Washington... SAFETY.
University of Colorado - Boulder... SAFETY.

I'll play. By the way, you should send in the ACT, that's a pretty good score

Georgetown - low to medium reach
Boston College - match
Northwestern - low to medium reach
Yale - high reach
Villanova - match
Santa Clara - safety
UC Berk - match to low reach
UCLA - match
U of WA - safety
U Colo Bolder - safety

Good luck to your d, sbrownell.
