Chance my friend for UGA and Georgia State University!!

<p>Hey guys, so I've been around CC for awhile but my friend just recently started to delve into this forum. He is a very close friend of mine and I want to help him in every way I can, and i thought it would be the best to start getting some advice/chances before I can help him out myself. So here is his profile:</p>

<p>Race/Ethnicity: Asian
Instate our out-of-state: In-state
Alumni relation: His oldest sister recently graduated from UGA and his older sister is graduating this year from Georgia State University</p>

<p>GPA(Unweighted): 2.8
Rank: He is not sure but is positive that it is top half out of about 600 students
SAT I---> He is retaking all of the rest of the year's SATs
CR 520
M 530
W 510 (8 essay) </p>

<p>One College Prep class(math), rest honors along with 3 APs in senior year: Environmental, American Government, Macroeconomics.</p>

<p>ECs:
Church Praise team member (Bass player for 1year and still playing)
Church Sunday school head soccer coach for 1 year and still coaching. Team has about 3 championships
FCCLA Junior Year(Officer)
Environmental Club Sophomore year along with Art club</p>

<p>Job/Work Experience:
Korean Language school assistant teacher during the summer of freshman year in high school
Works Every weekend at family's flea market</p>

<p>Recs:
I dont know about this, but according to him he can get very good recs from his teachers</p>

<p>Essays (for uga)
I've read them and they are decent IMO.</p>

<p>So please take some time and consider chancing him. He is a very close friend and I want to help him out the best I can.</p>

<p>What do you think he should do for the last semester he has? I know gpa and SAT is a must but to what extant?</p>

<p>Get in 2000’s, but it will still be difficult if he’s looking at uga, but gsu i think its possible</p>
