Mixed White/Asian dude, GA resident

Assumer recs and essays are really good too.
As far as I know, he has no hooks.

I think he wants to go into finance, namely investment banking, trading, or hedge fund (like all of us...lol). He also wants to keep engineering an option.

His Schools:
HYPS
Penn-Wharton
Columbia
UChicago
Dartmouth
Duke
Vandy
NYU Stern
UVA
UMich Ross
UT Austin
UGA
GA Tech

I honestly think the ivy schools which is all I would say for now would be high reaches because of the ECs so many kids apply with perfect scores and a few ECs with nothing else notable. Ethnicity isn’t that much of a help for this guy either though but if you can put in a couple of great ECs into your app then it should be a decent app.

I think this guy also has a helluva lot of leadership within Boy Scouts and that he regularly plays in other ensembles for clairinet.

My feeling is that HYPS, Columbia, Wharton, Chicago, Dartmouth, and maybe even Duke are reaches even if you’re a seemingly flawless candidate. Is that true? I just feel that out of all unhooked candidates, he has the best chance out of anybody I know. My stats are basically like his except with slightly lower scores (2330 SAT’s, 8 AP’s + 2 community college classes).

I forgot about his SAT II scores:
Math 2: 800
USH: 790
Chem: 770
