i didn’t notice it on the first instant but we both have nearly same stats.

It goes without saying that NO one has is a sure shot at any of those universities you’ve named (except possibly Olympians and Nobel Laureates). However, if you’re asking whether you stand a fairly decent chance, then yes.

(Unsolicited) advice from a senior:

*Remember that you can only talk about stuff that happened in high school (9th grade upwards) in most college applications. So, even if you did something amazing in Grade 8, for the most part, it won’t matter. Learnt this the hard way :/

*You certainly have breadth, but do you have depth? I found myself similarly having a long list of EC’s, but not too much to say about any of them. DO NOT take up any new activities this year forwards; work on your existing EC’s and take them to the next level.

*Keep your grades consistent - you really don’t want to lose focus now.

*Finish the SAT and the SAT 2 in grade 11 (or at least try to). I was so happy I did when 12th grade rolled around, and I didn’t have SAT to worry about on top of everything else.

*Essays are super important. If you’re a good writer, wonderful. If you’re not, this is a skill you need to start working on ASAP.

*Since you’ve mentioned you’re an American citizen, I will say this about chances: MIT’s rep revealed to me that the american acceptance rate is 10%, while the international acceptance rate is 1%. Just saying.

Hope that helps.
