<p>My brother is applying to BU for next fall and he always talks about how nervous he is to get in so hopefully your responses will help cool his nerves. </p>
<p>He has a cum GPA of about 3.2 but forgetting his freshman/sophomore years he would have about a 3.7.</p>
<p>he is taking almost all honors/AP classes and for the past 2 years he has doubled up on his science requirements. </p>
<p>On the sat (he didnt take sat2s) he got math: 680 CR: 600 and Writ: 660
BUt he also took the ACTS which he got
composite: 31 Eng: 28 Math: 31 Reading: 31 Sci: 35 essay: 10 out of 12</p>
<p>He is captain of his lacrosse team and has had statewide recognition.
He is fairly involved in extra curricular and has a good amount of community service. </p>

<p>He should be admitted. Additionally, as a lacrosse team captain, he probably stands a good chance at some LACs for which his SAT/GPA combo is a bit low. Because he is not in need of financial aid, his options are greatly expanded.</p>
<p>BU is a need blind school. Financial need has no basis on admittance</p>

<p>Except CGS, BU requires that anyone applying to any college, that you take SAT II's.
I'm pretty sure it's 2 SAT II's, by taking SAT II's he greatly increases his chances of getting into either CAS or CGS</p>
<p>No, you can take the ACT with writing in lieu of SAT II's. (for CAS at least)</p>
