Chance my RD schools

-GA resident, male
-Ethnicity: mixed Hispanic (Spanish) and Asian (Filipino)
-UW GPA: 3.94ish-may go down slightly as a result of a B in AP Stats
-Weighted GPA: 4.14 (will go up by the end of the semester)
-school doesn't rank, but I got an award for being the junior with the highest weighted GPA, meaning I'm a would-be valedictorian.

SAT I's
Math: 800
CR: 730
Writing:710

SAT II's
Math II: 800

3. AP Biology: A
4. AP Physics: A
5. H British Literature: A
6. Economics (I wish my school offered AP.): A

-school doesn't offer honors classes, but mentions "due to the rigorous curriculum of the school, no classes are designated as honors" in school description.

My only other B's have been graphic design freshman year, AP Gov last year(will a 5 on the exam atone for this), and a mandatory composition class at our school this summer? I got straight A's junior year.

-will mention Economics, Mathematics, and Chemistry respectively as my 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice majors. I want to be an investment banker or hedge fund manager when I grow up.

-LOTS of community service projects
-raised money for inner-city kids to buy scout uniforms
-Philmont Summer 2010-completed trek 34, the hardest trek Philmont has to offer (Only 5 crews this entire summer out of the 1000+ that come to Philmont did trek 34).

Tennis (all 4 years)
-private lesons
-varsity tennis

Academic Quiz Bowl team (10-12)

I founded and am president of our school's food critic club. We go to restaurants about once a month and write critiques about them, which are published in the school newspaper.
RD schools:
Harvard
Yale
Princeton
Stanford
Duke
Brown
WUSTL
Northwestern
Rice

I was rejected ED from Wharton and have already been accepted at UGA, GATech, and UChicago. I apparently was also good enough to get a $5000/yr scholarship at UofC. Wharton still puzzles me, though.

Your scores and ECs look good–very good. However, with schools like these, it can be hard to tell. Based on the schools you got into, I think that Northwestern and similar-level schools are a good match. However, Harvard, Stanford, and Yale might be high reaches. Good luck!

What did you put down for your ethnicity?

what is says above. both asian and hispanic

HYPS you won’t get into. The low SAT scores and the too few APs(not to mention no honors) will mess you up.
The other colleges you will get into.

HYPS are as puzzling as Wharton and are (here comes the CC cliche) reaches for everyone. To all the others, I think you are in.

@kidPenn. Really, I’ve read on CC that if your score is in the 99th %ile (2200+) and all subscores are at least a 700, then the score is considered strong and the other aspects of the application become more important. Also, by the way our school’s curriculum is structured, you can’t really fit in 10+ APs. And my school also doesn’t provide honors classes.

Hey, I’m just the mind of an admissions officer. And that is exactly what comes to mind first.
As for your SAT score, here’s proof that higher score correlates with a higher acceptance.

There’s just too many applicant that are better. Expect to be competing with 35000 applicants. Really.

If 2200 is low enough that an Eagle Scout with this other stuff is doesn’t get in, then no one is getting in. And are you actually half Hispanic, because if you are then they might care

Harvard - reach
Yale - reach
Princeton - reach
Stanford - reach
Duke - low reach/high match
Brown - low reach
WUSTL - match
Northwestern - match
Rice - match

Chance me  :
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1063409-chances-uva-will-chance-back.html

notatruetarhell, that is about what I expected. HYPS are reaches for virtually all unhooked applicants. While I still could get rejected, Duke and Brown are more realistic. The others seem probable.
