Track and Cross Country

Schools she is applying to:
University of Chicago (EA)
Georgetown (EA)
Stanford
Brown
Vanderbilt
Davidson

What are her chances?

is that a 1490/1600 or a 1490/2400? Please break down her SAT scores with her score on each section.

SAT is very ......low. How can she possibly be ranked so high at a public school and have such a high gpa with such a low sat score???

Sorry for not clarifying. She actually got a 1500 out of 1600 (730 Math 770 Verbal) and a 2280 overall . She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Academic Team, and a National Merit Commended Scholar.

uhh. Could make it in to those schools if they admitted solely based on academic achievement. Her extracurriculars will play some part in that admissions game as well. Good luck.

So I just wanted to see how "accurate" people on these boards are. In actuality, my sister graduated in 2007. She applied to all of the schools I listed, with the exception of Vanderbilt and Davidson. She got in early to University of Chicago (and got scholarship $) and Georgetown. She was waitlisted at Stanford (she took herself off of the list) and rejected from Brown. She ended up at University of Chicago.

wow, admissions were still tough that long ago.
