Any good safety school rec for biomedical engineering?

For UMich CoE, both ACT and GPA are right at the admission average. Considering the admission rate, It would be a low reach for oos.

Thanks for the reply, can anyone help with GA Tech or some of the others

tiger mom alert!

:) Actually Tiger Dad I guess, sorry not really a helicopter parent. Son is tied up with camp this week and I’m trying to plan some campus visits combined with a vacation. Can’t see them all so trying to get at better handle on his chances. Thanks for the looks.

Don’t worry. There are tons of tiger parents in this forum. There is even a highly active Parents Forum.

Match for tech. I live in GA.

Son was ready to put deposit down for GT but at least minute didn’t want to leave Northeast. GT is a fabulous school, great campus, great reputation, alumni association, etc… His credentials look similar to my sons and he was admitted. They have a campus in Lorraine France as well for some eng majors which intrigued us because you only pay the in-state tuition GA rate when you attend it. That aside, can’t go wrong with Georgia Tech… My next in line is targeting GT as we were so happy with the school overall (and great price even for out of staters as compared to some of the colleges in the Northeast)… Duke from what I’ve heard is a long shot for most - when you take out all the legacies, eds or any hooks, I have read the actual admit rate is somewhere below 8 percent. Don’t quote me on this but just what i’ve read in CC in another forum. But good luck!!
