I'm currently enrolled at NVCC and am looking to transfer to UVA for the upcoming Fall semester at UVA.

Summer 2009:
-Psych 201: 4.0
-English 111: W (i had surgery on my lung)
-Econ 201: W (i had surgery on my lung)

Fall 2009:
-English 111: 4.0
-Psych 202: 4.0
-Econ 202: 4.0
-His 121: 4.0
-(light course load because i was still recovering from my surgery
-Deans list
-Good standing
-Overall 4.0 GPA

-So far I am confident that I will end this semester with a 4.0 as well. My extra curricular activities are being an assistant manager at HoopMagic and am in charge of the concessions and have nearly doubled the sales.

What were your HS stats? UVA is going to place a lot of weight on your HS stats since you have only completed 18 hours (I wouldn’t worry about the W’s, they’ll understand with the surgery explanation).

Hello Fellow Transfers,
Here is the UVa 2010 Fall Transfer page on Facebook:

Please, feel free to post your comments, concerns, questions, ideas etc.

I’ve been following the UVa transfer admission blog, and they look at how close you stay to the GAA even if you’re not applying under it. If you have a 4.0 after 2 semesters, I think your chances are pretty good. Just make sure you’re covering your pre-reqs, since they look at how transferable you are as a student.
