<p>I'm an international student who is now a junior studying in VA. The first semester of my sophomore year was kind of tough since it was my first year in US. But I've managed to lift my uw gpa from 3.5 to 3.9 and hoping to get it to 4 by the end of this year.
I have not yet taken the SAT or ACT yet but I am expecting to get 1900 to 2000 on SAT (according to my performance on the OCs. I might get a better grade in ACT because vocabulary is what really bothers me in SAT since English is a second language for me)
I have a toefl grade of 99.
The only AP course I'm doing is AP chem and I will be doing AP Drawing, AP art history, AP government and AP psychology next year.
I'm not good at sport at all but very into band. I'm the first tenor sax in the concert band and the jazz band.
UCLA NYU OSU and UIUC are the schools that I wish to attend. I'm very clear about the major that I wish to do, which is linguistics. How would you suggest me to show those colleges my knowledge in that field? Will that be possible for me to hand in an example of my own constructed language?
I'm fluent in Chinese and English(not perfect in English though.. LOL). I've studied Spanish for two years and I'm teaching myself Latin and Russian(slowly).
My dream schools are NYU UCLA OSU UIUC UCBerkeley UT
Will ED or EA help? If so, to which school should I do so? And what safety schools are suitable for me?
