I am currently in public school about 45 minutes away from Westminster and I am DYING to go there. I am applying as a 10th grade male and I will be repeating my 10th grade year there if i get accepted. (hopefully increasing my chance of acceptance)

No legacy. (Strong reccomendations/connections at school however)

Average-High SSAT scores

Interview: Went Great

What are my chances????

You sound like you’re solidly in the ballpark. Is repeating necessary?

I’m only offering a repeat year so i am 100% accepted. I would much rather stay in my normal grade and continue on to Junior year instead of repeating sophomore year over again. But I don’t know if I will be accepted if I do not repeat.

Your stats are impressive but one should never assume 100% acceptance. Are you full pay?

Yes, full pay, no financial aid.

My grades are average so that is why i am considering a repeat year. I have a very strong reccomendation letter however that will help me a lot.

Your grades are fine but I thought eighth graders too Algebra 1… Well anyways you have great sports and EC’s and if you have great rec’s and a really good SSAT score, don’t count yourself out. In fact, maybe count yourself in. You seem like a really good candidate. Good luck. Hope you got in!
