Sports and extracurricular seem strong, but your SAT scores are low, which might be a problem. I would try for a better SAT, just in case you get deferred to regular admission, but I think you have a chance for EA.

Am I more likely to get if I apply EA than Regular admission?

Also do you know anything about how the IB program is viewed by Northeastern/colleges in general and if that helps my chances at all?

EA has a better admissions rate, but if you get great grades and improve your SAT scores, your chances could be better for regular admissions. There is really no risk to try EA though, because if you deferred, they will still consider your later scores and grades.

As far as IB goes, it is one of the more well known programs at Northeastern and is well thought of by recruiters. The fact that you have Spanish and Model UN extracurriculars will help your IB chances.

My grades are looking pretty good this year so I think it could boost my GPA and possibly class rank. As for that SAT I don’t believe I will be taking it again so I will just have to work with what I have. I do however understand that the average SAT scores range from 1200-1370 (25%-75%) so at least I am somewhat in the mix with that. Thanks so much for your feedback, it really means a lot. Wish me luck!

Of course. Good luck!

Just so you know, Northeastern looks at all of the SAT, not just math and verbal. From watching stats past: in 2010, the 25%-75% range was like 1850-2050, but this years incoming freshman raised that bar higher as had been the trend for the past number of years… Good luck! :)
