Hello,so I #1 pick for school is UC berkeley since it is an excellent college for my major(CompSci) I was wondering what you folks here think of my chances? I took the SAT's and dude fairly well on the reading portion, 600, mediocre/below average on math, 520(something about math tests and me don't mix) and a mediocre 560 on writing. So I decided to retake the SAT but this time refused to leave any of the bubbles unfilled. Big mistake that was. I improved my Writing to a 590 and my reading into a 630, however I dropped my math all the way too an appalling 470. Always better to guess right? Wrong. So being very dejected, I remembered that I still have my ACT scores to look forward too, so I held in some hope for that. Much to my surprised I did fairly above average(from my understanding) I got a 27 composite with 25 in English, 25 in Math, 29 in reading, 27 in Science, and a 25 in Combined English/Writing. Now aside from my test scores I am semi active in volunteering, I regularly help lead/advise a group of "young leaders" for my school's middle school which I do year round(since freshman year), I have been helping with one of the church's local VBS since about 6th or 7th grade, I am a lifetime member of CSF(California Scholarship Federation) meaning I have been in it since 2nd semester of my freshman year and plan to be in it up until I can't be in it anymore(not sure if we stop going 2nd semester or keep going) and I will have been in cabinet for at least 2 years come my graduation. I have also been a member of NHS(National Honor Society) since it has existed at our school(2nd semester Junior year) and have been in Cabinet since then and plan to be Vice President next year. In addition I am taking the hardest classes my school offers for my Senior year; Physics, AP Calculus AB, AP Language, AP Government, and Bible 12(stupid religious school requirement) In my Junior year I took; Trig/Precalc, AP Lit, Dual Credit US History(taught but a professor who had a Ph.D), "Missions and Apologetics"(Bible 11), and Spanish 3. I'll leave out Freshman and Sophomore year as my school didn't offer any sort of AP class those years. Now my grades, on average I typically manage about a 3.8 per semester(My math grade is always around a B, B+) Weighted wise though, I recieved a 4.0 first semester this year, and a 4.17 second semester. My HS Cumulative is about a 3.82 or so so unweighted and probably a 3.92 weighted. I had a C first semester in Algebra I of my freshman year, though I took Summer School to fix it, would it help me if they completely overwrote the grade or kept showing the grade but disregard it's point value in favor of my improved A over SS to show that I actually care about doing my best?

I also plan on taking a Math II subject test and a Chemistry Subject Test come October. I should probably also mention I’m of mixed heritage(Hispanic) and that I am a resident of California.

Anyone at all?

Firstly, Acooley, your post is so unappetising, no one wants read essays here, could you repost this and just list your stats out.

With that SAT and ACT score, your chances are almost nil, get at least 33 on ACT or 2200 on SAT.

Goodluckk.
