Chance of Baylor University Acceptance

I'm going to be a senior this year at a Texas public high school.
I'm ranked 19 out of 645, 3.89 GPA.
In 9th and 10th grade, I didn't know much about GPA and rank, but I stepped it up 11th grade. I've taken only honors/AP/DC since then. By graduation, I will have taken 6 AP tests and have about 25 credit hours from dual credit. I got an A in all of my AP/Honors/DC classes so far.
I got a 30 on the April ACT, but I'm planning on retaking it in September.
I'm in National Honor Society (VP), Science National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta (Math NHS), Student Ambassador, Peer Mediator, HOSA. I'm also very active in the HOSA competitions.
I played tennis for 3 years (JV 2 years).
I have 155 hours of community service so far, but I'm planning on getting more this year. I'm also a distinguished service graduate.
I'm planning on majoring in physics with a medical concentration and I will be under pre-med.

What are my chances of getting into Baylor? I already used the merit scholarship calculator, but I was wondering how much I could get from their need-based aid. I'm Vietnamese, female, Catholic, first-generation college, and my parents make like 20k a year, combined. Thanks!

bumpppppppppp! any advice, anyone?

Old thread, but if you’re still interested…3.89, #19, and 30 on ACT…you’ll get in. My son is at Baylor right now. Your best hope for substantial merit aid would have been if you were a NMF. I’m sure you know by now if you are a semi-finalist or not. Other than that, your parents FAFSA will drive need based aid, but Baylor is known more for merit aid than need based aid. With cost of attendance (COA) pushing 50k a year, you will likely still have quite a bit of dollars remaining to pay. If you are looking to stay in Texas, and would entertain a public that gives great aid, both merit and need based, may I suggest UT Dallas. They have the highest average SAT scores in the state (not considering Rice), and give great aid. Very strong in math and science, and well know for their pre-med. They are very much an up and coming school and really go after good students, which you are. They were my sons #2 school. Really are worth a look. Good luck.
