Brown would be a fit for his his personality

I think. He is a long shot for Yale but hoping he has a reasonable shot at Brown. Appreciate input from those who have some idea on Brown acceptance .

Son got deferred

Expected the same

Your son has indeed a very impressive profile. However for the regular decision the acceptance rate is much lower, for instance for Brown and Columbia, it will be as low as 4%. Your son should certainly apply many more schools. Good luck. My daughter last year applied to Brown for RD. She had sat 1570 (one sitting), SAT 2 math chemistry history all 800, 7 major APs all 5’s and two published original research papers and plus several other national awards. But she got rejected by Brown, accepted by two other Ivies. You never know what is going in the admission office.

Yeah
He is going to be fine no matter what
In the long run his personality of hard work, positive outlook and kindness will stand out and define him . Not having too much expectations.
