Chance of being accepted for Dual degree with Ga. Tech for Biomedical Engineering - Fall 2015 OOS

<p>Curious of my chances to be accepted in engineering and if I have any chance at the Honors program
Texas resident
ACT 32 (Math 33, Science 34, English 30)
UW GPA 3.9
104.5 weighted
9 AP courses
4 years varsity band
Eagle Scout
3 student clubs
100+ volunteer hours
Interned with Research Program at Univ. Texas At Austin
roughly 10% rank in class of 630 at Competitive High School</p>

<p>So, a few things you might find helpful: </p>

<ol>
<li>We don’t admit students by major.</li>
<li>You are not considered for admission with the dual degree program at GA Tech at the time of your initial application.</li>
<li>We don’t have an honors program you can be accepted to as a freshman. That’s something large public schools do to try to compete for students who got into higher-ranked schools.</li>
<li>As a private university, whether you’re an instate students or not is largely irrelevant.</li>
<li>You may not find the program to be viable if you don’t have lots of money, since you will have to pay out-of-state tuition at Georgia Tech, which Emory tuition will not pay. Unless you’re 24 when you attend or your parents move to Georgia, there’s basically no way you can acquire Georgia residency for tuition purposes.</li>
