Hello. This year, I'm a senior in high school and I've applied to two universities, George Mason and VCU. I really want to attend GMU. My high school years have been quite a bumpy road. As of right now, my GPA is 3.76 and I'm in the twentieth percentile of my class.

In ninth grade, I lived with my friend and her family. I didn't work to my best potential, many B's. Although through the second semester, I received A's in my classes of Advanced English and history.

Then, tenth grade was non-existent for me. I moved to London, then Kenya for six months each. During that time, I didn't attend school because the systems were completely different for me. A long and complicated story really.

Got back last year, took my first ever summer school course of English to begin catching up in school. In the fall, I combined tenth and eleventh grade courses which I had missed previously. Received A's and one B in psychics for the year.

A math course of summer school this year gave me just enough credits to become a senior as I should be! Somehow, someway, I'm going to graduate on time. I've been apart of advanced courses throughout. Continued with IB English this year and AP classes, I have A's in those courses.

Doing well, only thing bothering me is my SAT score. First time taking it this month, just received scores today. Not good at all (1440 total *510-CR *440-Math *490-Writing)
GMU doesn't include writing, so 950. It's abysmal! Took the ACT last week, I know I did a lot better on that test. May be my saving grace in the test aspect of acceptance.

Guidance counselor & great teachers know my capabilities as a student and person. This test just seems to portray me so badly, but I know that GMU looks at the overall person.

Your thoughts on my chance of being accepted?
